Contract: part-time / full-time (30 - 40 h / week), initially fixed-term for 2 years followed by the option of a subsequent employment contract with an infinite duration

Our primary school offers a high-quality education programme for over 330 children aged 6 to 11. It supports each student’s personal, social, academic, physical and emotional development in an internationally oriented context. In our primary school an international curriculum is used to ensure that we provide a clear and consistent curriculum that appropriately challenges the students.
Your tasks and responsibilities
  • Foster a safe and stimulating learning environment where learners can develop intellectually, physically, socially, and creatively.
  • Promote our school’s motto of "learning to be a citizen of the world" by cultivating openness to diverse perspectives, values, and traditions, fostering global citizenship.
  • Provide tailored learning support and interventions to maximize achievement and well-being.
  • Collaborate with teaching teams to build their capacity for understanding and responding to individual strengths and needs.
  • Conduct student assessments using standard tools to identify learning needs and guide interventions.
  • Develop and monitor Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) to support the learning and growth of students with additional needs.
  • Deliver flexible teaching models, including small group instruction, collaborative teaching, and in-class support, to meet diverse student needs.
  • Work closely with class teachers, the Learning Inclusion  team and our families to create a coordinated, holistic approach to supporting student success.
  • Share expertise and resources to enhance best practices in the primary school.
  • Contribute to a unified school-wide approach, ensuring all systems and procedures are effectively implemented.
Your profile

We are looking for a dedicated professional with:

  • Qualifications:
    • A degree in Special Education and a valid teaching license. 
  • Experience:
    • Familiarity with internationally-minded and diverse school communities.
    • Proven experience in designing and implementing support programs for students with a range of learning abilities.
    • Some leadership experience preferred.
  • Skills and Attributes:
    • High competency in written and spoken English.
    • Excellent communication skills, including proficiency with IT and new technologies.
    • Strong ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual learners.
    • A focus on fostering high standards of student achievement and personal development.
    • A collaborative, flexible, and solution-oriented mindset, complemented by a sense of humor.
    • Organizational skills and a commitment to ethical and empathetic practices.
