Our Leipzig International Kindergarten opened in June 2014 and provides over 270 children aged 1 to 6 with a full-day, year-round, early education programme, which aims at supporting each child’s personal, social, academic, physical and emotional development in an international setting.
 
The Kindergarten Inhouse Support supports the entire kindergarten team in all administrative and operational matters and is jointly responsible for maintaining the positive appearance and daily functioning of the kindergarten environment.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Support the daily operations of Leipzig International Kindergarten (LIK) as part of a collaborative team, contributing to the continuous improvement of care, education, and learning
  • Actively support daily group routines and ensure a smooth, well-organised, and child-focused flow of the day
  • Assist with the organisation and supervision of children’s lunch routines within the facility, ensuring a calm and structured mealtime environment
  • Support kitchen-related tasks, including cleaning kitchen equipment and maintaining required hygiene standards in shared food preparation and dining areas
  • Provide general support with facility-related tasks across the kindergarten to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
  • Assist at the reception desk and support front-of-house operations as needed
  • Take responsibility for the daily sign-out process of children, ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures
  • Work flexibly and proactively, stepping in where needed to support colleagues and the wider kindergarten operations

Your profile

  • Experience working with children or in a kindergarten setting is considered an advantage
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to contribute positively to a multidisciplinary team
  • High level of enthusiasm, reliability, and personal commitment to the role and its responsibilities
  • Strong communication and time management skills, with the ability to organise tasks effectively in a dynamic environment
  • International mindset and a willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to a diverse educational setting
  • Fluency in German (spoken, written, and comprehension) is required; English language skills are considered an advantage
  • Valid health certificate for kitchen work (required to ensure safe and compliant support in kitchen-related tasks)
