Der Internationale Kindergarten der Leipzig International School, eröffnet im Juni 2014, bietet über 270 Kindern im Alter von 1 bis 6 Jahren ein ganzjähriges Ganztags-Bildungsprogramm. Ziel ist es, die persönliche, soziale, akademische, körperliche und emotionale Entwicklung jedes Kindes in einem internationalen Umfeld zu fördern.

Deine Aufgaben und Verantwortlichkeiten

Zusammenarbeit mit Teammitgliedern zur Umsetzung eines Bildungsprogramms, das auf Spiel, Entdecken, aktives Lernen und kritisches Denken basiert
Entwicklung altersgerechter, kindzentrierter Aktivitäten im Einklang mit dem Sächsischen Bildungsplan und EYFS
Förderung der kindlichen Neugier, Kreativität und Selbstständigkeit
Schaffung anregender Lernumgebungen zum Erkunden und Entdecken
Beobachtung, Begleitung und Unterstützung der Kinder im Spiel
Kommunikation mit Eltern und Kolleg*innen über den Entwicklungsstand der Kinder
Einsatz von Beobachtungs- und Dokumentationstools zur Planung nächster Lernschritte
Mitarbeit an der kontinuierlichen Qualitätsentwicklung im Kindergarten
Unterstützung der Kinder bei Alltagsfähigkeiten (z. B. Anziehen, Toilettengang, selbstständiges Essen)
Teilnahme an wöchentlichen und monatlichen Planungs- und Fortbildungssitzungen

Dein Profil

Abgeschlossene Ausbildung oder Studium in Frühkindlicher Bildung, Sozialpädagogik, Sozialarbeit, als staatlich anerkannter Erzieherin oder vergleichbarer Abschluss gemäß der Qualifikationsverordnung des Landes Sachsen
Erfahrung in der Arbeit mit Kindern im Alter von 1 bis 3 Jahren
Erfahrung in der Gestaltung von spielerischen, kindzentrierten Lernumgebungen
Fähigkeit zur Beobachtung und Dokumentation kindlicher Lern- und Entwicklungsprozesse
Ausgezeichnete zwischenmenschliche und kommunikative Fähigkeiten zur Zusammenarbeit mit Kindern, Kolleg*innen und Eltern
Empathisches, flexibles und teamorientiertes Arbeiten
Fähigkeit, eine sichere, anregende und inklusive Lernumgebung zu gestalten
Grundkenntnisse in digitalen Tools zur Dokumentation und Elternkommunikation (z. B. Seesaw)
Fließende Englisch- oder Deutschkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
Internationale Offenheit und wachstumsorientiertes Mindset

Our Leipzig International Kindergarten, opened in June 2014, provides over 270 children aged 1 to 6 with a full-day, year-round, early education programme, which aims at supporting each child’s personal, social, academic, physical and emotional development in an international setting.

Your tasks and responsibilities

Collaborate with partners and team members to deliver a strong programme based on playing and exploring, inquiring, active learning and critical thinking
Develop age-appropriate, child-focused and unit-based engagements based on the guidelines, ethos and objectives provided by Saxony’s State Curriculum for Kindergarten (Sächsischer Bildungsplan) and the Early Years Foundation Stage
Look for opportunities to promote development that fosters the children’s love of learning, curiosity, creativity and independence
Provide stimulating and empowering environments for children to discover and explore
Observe, support, guide and participate in children’s play
Communicate with parents and colleagues about children in your care
Use assessment tools for development and learning in order to focus on children’s progress and plan their next steps
Work with a team of colleagues to continuously improve the overall quality of care, education and learning at Leipzig International School Kindergarten
Support the children with life skills, including dressing, toileting, and independent eating
Participate in weekly and monthly planning meetings and other professional development opportunities

Your profile

A qualification in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Social Pedagogy, Vocational Training as State Approved Educator, or a related degree in accordance with the qualification ordinance of the state of Saxony
Demonstrated experience in Early Years education, particularly with children aged 1–7 years
Strong musical skills and the ability to lead engaging, developmentally appropriate music sessions for young children
Experience designing and implementing play-based, child-centered learning experiences
Ability to observe, assess, and document children's learning and development effectively
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working collaboratively with children, colleagues, and families
A caring, flexible, and team-oriented mindset, with the ability to adapt to different group settings as a Floater
Competence in maintaining a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
Basic proficiency with digital tools for documentation and parent communication (e.g. Seesaw)
Fluency in written and verbal English or German, with basic understanding in the other
